The National ACT is normally administered 6 times a year on Saturdays in September, October, December, February, June, and July.
- Applicants for admission under the age of 21 are encouraged to take the National ACT prior to enrolling because the National ACT scores can be transferred to any school in the nation.
- Students who would like to register for the National ACT may register at www.ACT.org. Registration and the fee payment MUST be made directly to ACT. The DSCC ACT school code is 3969.
- The ACT On-campus is given only to DSCC applicants for admission. The scores for the ACT On-campus cannot be transferred to another school and cannot be used to determine eligibility for any of the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship programs.
- The ACT On-campus is typically offered following a National ACT testing date since its purpose is an alternative or remaining ACT when a National ACT is not available to allow student placement for registration.
- The current fee for taking the ACT On-campus is $69.00. Payment is made at the DSCC One Stop Center. The test taker will need to bring the fee receipt and a photo ID on the day of the test. The ACT On-campus is only given at the Dyersburg Campus and the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County.
- Test takers may use a calculator on the ACT Mathematics test but not on any of the other tests in the ACT. A calculator is not required. The test taker is responsible for knowing if the calculator they plan to use is permitted. Check the ACT Calculator Policy.
