A First-Time Freshman has never attended college after graduating high school and plans to seek an associate or applied associate degree.
Transfer Student
A student that has attempted college credits at another institution after high school and would like to pursue a degree with Dyersburg State.
International Student
Student desiring to attain an F-1 student visa and work towards a degree at Dyersburg State.
Personal or Professional Enrichment
Community member who wants to take classes for credit without earning a degree.
Military Students & Veterans
Dyersburg State cooperates with the U.S. Department of Veterans Administration in providing educational opportunities for veterans and eligible persons under appropriate Public Laws.
Transient Student
Transient students are students who want to take classes at DSCC but are not working on a degree or certificate at Dyersburg State. They plan to return to the college or university where they are pursuing a degree.
