DSCC’s Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business Administration is designed to provide the student with the first two years of education necessary to complete a degree in Business Administration at a four-year college or university.

DSCC offers five Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees under the Business major that provide students with the skills required to become successful in an office environment:

1. Accounting – Typical jobs include: supervisory positions in accounting departments, branch supervisor for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, purchasing, customer sales, and assistant comptroller/comptroller.
2. Administrative Professional Technology – Typical jobs include: executive or administrative assistant, administrative or office manager, legal or medical assistant, medical insurance clerk, electronic information processor, administrative support manager, supervisor or coordinator, medical or legal information specialist, records manager, computer applications specialist.
3. Computers and Information Systems – Typical jobs include: office programmer, desktop publisher, database administrator, systems administrator, systems developer, software specialist.
4. Logistics and Supply Chain Management – Typical jobs include: positions within the logistics and warehousing industry, including supervisory and management-level positions.
5. Management – Typical jobs include: head teller, assistant manager, supervisor, sales, research assistant, marketing assistant.
