Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) is proud to announce the dedication of its baseball field to esteemed alumnus Jeffrey D. Agee, CEO and Chairman of First Citizens Bancshares, Inc. This special ceremony will occur on April 12, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the Dyersburg State campus.

Jeff Agee, a Dyersburg native, has dedicated 42 years of his career to First Citizens. He has played an instrumental role in expanding the bank’s operations throughout Tennessee and earned numerous accolades for his efforts. His leadership and guidance have led to unprecedented growth within the region that he serves.

Jeff earned his associate’s degree from DSCC before continuing his education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He obtained a Certified Public Accountant credential and earned credentials from the University of Wisconsin and Georgetown University, both prestigious banking schools.

Jeff Agee’s love for DSCC cannot be understated. Agee dominated on the diamond as a former DSCC Chiefs baseball team pitcher, now known as the Eagles, while winning the Most Valuable Player his sophomore year. His athleticism and academic achievements left a lasting legacy at Dyersburg State.

When asked about Jeff Agee’s impact on DSCC and the Eagles baseball program, Dr. Scott Cook stated, “We are incredibly grateful to honor Jeff Agee and to name our field in his honor.  Jeff Agee is a Dyersburg State alumnus who starred on one of our then-Chiefs baseball teams.  He has supported our college for many years by serving on the Dyersburg State Community College Foundation Board and Foundation Board Executive Committee, chairing the Foundation Board and helping us raise money to support students through scholarships.  Throughout his career at First Citizens National Bank, he and the bank have been incredibly generous and supportive of the college, our athletic programs, students, and the communities we serve together.  In fact, in 2012, Mr. Agee started the Frank Agee Baseball Scholarship, and since its inception, 30 student-athletes have benefitted from his kindness and support.”

In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Jolie Jones, are proud parents to IndiAnn and Franklin, a daughter and son.

We invite all community members, past players, and supporters of DSCC baseball to join us in honoring Jeff Agee and commemorating his outstanding contributions to DSCC.
