The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program and the Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) Campus Police will hold a mock active shooter drill at the Dyersburg Campus on Thursday, June 6, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The exercise prepares the College’s Paramedic students and Campus Police for a real-life emergency scenario. Local ambulances, helicopters, fire trucks, and police will be on-site to assist with the drill. The public is asked to refrain from visiting the campus, and Country Club Road will be closed to traffic during the hours of 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
