• Dyersburg State Community College has partnered with EdFinancial Services to help you as you begin federal direct student loan repayment. The counselors from EdFinancial are available to help with questions about your federal loan repayment options, including income based repayment, deferment, forbearance, loan consolidation and any other general questions you may have along the way.
• An EdFinancial counselor will contact you when graduate, withdraw or drop to less than half-time. Take advantage of their expertise and ask any questions you may have about federal student loan repayment. Our goal is to make sure that you are ready to begin repaying your federal loan and that you understand all of your options.
• If you have trouble making timely payments, an EdFinancial counselor may also contact you to discuss other repayment plans that may be more affordable or options for deferring your payments based on your situation. Remember that the counselor is a resource for you and can help you avoid default.
• Please do not delete any emails or discard any correspondence you may receive in the mail from EdFinancial. These messages contain important information about your federal student loan(s) that will help you successfully manage the federal loan repayment process.
