Dyersburg, TN – Join us for the Spring Arts Festival at Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC)! On Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the center of campus will come alive with a celebration of art, music, theater, literature, and dance. This free event promises a day filled with creativity, inspiration, and hands-on fun for the entire family!
Dyersburg State Community College President Dr. Scott Cook expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Dyersburg State Community College is excited to partner with the Dyersburg-Dyer County Arts Council to host our first Spring Arts Festival for our community. The arts have been an important part of the College fabric since our founding in 1969, and this festival coincides with our reinvestment in our band and theatre programs. We are thankful for the cooperation of the Arts Council and the support of Dr. Buck Tarpley, retired Vice President for Institutional Advancement, whose generosity has made our festival possible.”
The Spring Arts Festival invites everyone to immerse themselves in the arts. This interactive celebration will feature local artisans and passionate creators, offering unique opportunities for participants to explore.
Participants can expect a variety of engaging activities, including creative writing workshops, community art projects, stunning art exhibits, and vocal workshops where attendees can let their voices shine. The day culminates in the renowned Arts in Bloom Showcase at 1:00 p.m. inside DSCC’s Dr. Carl Christian Andersen Hall, featuring performances by the DSCC Community Band, the DSCC Choir, Fine Arts Warehouse Dance Studio, and Dyersburg – Dyer County Arts Council members.
